Growing up kids dream about becoming a baseball player (I did), a princess, an astronaut or the President among other professions. We encourage them because kids have a wild and entertaining imagination. Adults have dreams too, and surprisingly they are not that much different than kids. This post will explore dreams and why it is necessary to still have them.
Importance of Goals & Dreams
Goals and dreams are important because no matter how old you get, you’re still growing. Idris Elba points out how you can still achieve dreams, at any age, no matter how unrealistic they may seem. Learn to play drums, become a soccer coach or make quilts. Goals & Dreams remove stagnation and helps you look forward to the future. It makes you budget your money, your time and your energy to accomplish it. To achieve it you must adhere to a plan. And when you make the goal it should be celebrated. Life is about celebrating with those closest to you.
Makeable Goal & Achieve It
A simple goal could be putting $500 into a savings account, paying off a small credit card balance or learning a skill. Just come up with a simple plan of how to achieve it then implement those steps. It does not have to be complicated; just save some extra money buy eating at home, take an introductory course online or seeking out a mentor with experience. Whatever the Goal is will require some discipline and consistency. Consistent behavior then becomes routine and then it gets easier. Once you do it, enjoy the accomplishment and tell someone about it.
Big Goal & Future
Buying a house, starting a band, getting an MBA, financial independence, retiring early or paying off a student loan are examples of Big Goals. These require more patience and time but you have already have achieved “smaller” goals in the past. Keeping focus on the Goal is the key. You have to envision how you feel & what will you do when you reach your Goal. Will your family be in a better financial situation? Will you be happier? Will you be doing what you really want to do? These questions can only by answered by you. So Dream big because no one is going to just hand it to you (except for Idris).

What were your Dreams as a kid?
Personal Capital – Before Personal Capital, I had to log into 5 different financial institutions to track my account balances. My finances were scattered but that is no longer the case. Now I can just log into Personal Capital to see how everything is doing in one place. Some of you might need some organization and Personal Capital will help you with that.
MDD Hosting – I am big proponent of using MDD Hosting as my website server. Their tech support is helpful, especially if you are a newbie to website building. I could not be happier with their service and so will you.
StudioPress – I bought the Going Green theme from this site because I loved the layout and colorization. It is advertised for Environmentalist organizations but I loved it because it’s the color of money. There are many other Themes to choose from, so take a tour and see if any of them can help you with your site.
